I was called Filomena until I was three years old, before my parents changed their minds and renamed me Ieva. Filomena comes from the Greek words philos, meaning “friend of strength,” and menos, meaning “loved one.” The name has always resonated deeply with me, so I chose it for my silk and cashmere scarf collection — Filomena.
