Care Guide
While silk holds the status of being one of the strongest natural fibres in the world, the fabric itself is incredibly delicate and
requires special attention when it comes to cleaning, drying and storing to ensure it stays in pristine condition.
To ensure your silk scarf longevity and maintain its shiny, soft qualities for many years to come, follow the guidance below:
Hand washing silk scarf:
Soak your scarf in a slightly warm water and a detergent that has low alkaline (like Woolite or even baby shampoo). Then
submerge the scarf and gently twirl underwater for two minutes, making sure the detergent has dissipated in the water. Rinse the
scarf by then submerging it in clean warm water. After rinsing it, spread the scarf on a large towel, making sure to not pull or
stretch the scarf out of shape. Fold the towel over the scarf and press down to rid the scarf of excess water. Let the scarf flat in its
natural shape, best on the towel (avoid hanging outdoors because the sun could cause colour distortion). Once it’s dry, I
recommend steaming with iron (stick to a low heat) and for the best and safest finish using silk organza cloth (enclosed together
with your ordered scarf) to avoid applying heat directly to prevent it from shine or burning the silk. To refresh the scarf between
weavings, spritz with delicate spray.
Enjoy your wearing!
